This is an image discovered via the Hermits of Bethlehem in Chester, NJ, where the original is venerated, 'written' by iconographer Vladislav Andrejev.
In this original icon, the Andre Rublev "Trinity" of angels (as encountered by Abraham in the book of Genesis) rests at the heart of the Lord Jesus, revealing the hidden communion of Father and Spirit with the Second Person of the Trinity, and producing a sort of "Eastern Sacred Heart" that made it one of the original inspirations for the mission of Ecce Images, to promote sacred images that help us to enter more deeply into the mystery of the Triune God, revealed in Jesus Christ.
