Douay-Rheims

Faithfully rendering the Latin Vulgate, the version of Scripture used traditionally in the Liturgy and approved by the Council of Trent, the Douay-Rheims translation has historically been the most important English translation of the Bible. The Douay-Rheims translation was the stand alone Catholic English translation of the Bible for over 300 years.
