Recorded in Jerusalem by the Notre Dame Choir, directed by J.J. Wright, The Passion invites listeners on a moving journey into the memory of Christ's Passion, from Galilee to Golgotha. The album's 40 tracks guide your Lenten journey in the footsteps of Jesus through a powerful new dramatic musical setting of the Passion story based on Scripture, tradition, and lived experience.

Over the course of 95 minutes of song and spoken word, listeners are immersed in the experience of Jesus's disciples on Holy Saturday as they grieve the loss of their Lord, remembering the events of Holy Thursday and Good Friday.

This major production was developed by a collaborative team of professional artists and musicians over a 3-year period. Produced by three-time Grammy-award winning songwriter and producer, Joe Henry, this album was recorded in Jerusalem during a pilgrimage of the choir through the Holy Land. Includes a beautiful 32-page companion booklet with art, photos, full text and liner notes.
