Soul Prepared Through Suffering

The book explores the topic of suffering and how suffering in many ways is a gift from Our Lord. The author, Dr. Blythe Kaufman, at the age of 30 was diagnosed with a genetic condition that ultimately would remove her from dentistry after only 1 year of clinical practice. Although she experienced disability and a failing body at an early age, the journey showed that when suffering was given in healthy measure, good things resulted. After the initial introduction, the book proposes a 40-day retreat for those in the trenches of suffering and for those yet to be put to the test, for it prepares people to understand that suffering shared by a loving God works in ways nothing else can.
