Her Heart is a Shrine of Peace
"Do not be afraid. I am the Angel of Peace. Pray with me."
These are the words of the Angel who appeared to the three shepherd children one year before our Blessed Mother appeared to them. The Angel of Peace proceeded to teach them the words that we know so well and repeat so often here at Our Lady of Peace in Santa Clara, California:
"My God, I believe, I adore, I hope and I love You! I ask pardon of You for those who do not believe, do not adore, do not hope and do not love You!"
Every hour on the hour we have the tradition of praying the Rosary, which is born out of a deep love for our Blessed Mother and her request at Fatima to pray for peace and for the conversion of sinners. This deep commitment to the Holy Rosary and the message of Fatima was born, in no small part, from the Monthly Pilgrimage to Fatima Masses that have taken place here at Our Lady of Peace every thirteenth of the month from May to October.
It has been an honor and privilege for the pastors since Msgr. John Sweeny to celebrate the Mass and to preach for these Masses. The collection of sermons presented here in this volume from Fr Gustavo Nieto are a treasure that captures the spirit of Fatima and how it is honored here at Our Lady of Peace. They are the words of one of Our Lady of Peace's pastors who has a deep love for the Blessed Mother and the treasured devotional traditions of the Catholic Church.
May these reflections help you to initiate or deepen your confidence in the Peace Plan from heaven.
Prayers and supplications is what heaven is asking for, as the Angel of Peace told the children on that first apparition: "Pray thus. The Hearts of Jesus and Mary are attentive to the voice of your supplications." That is precisely what all the faithful, priests, religious, and lay-faithful alike are trying to do.
